The University is located in South East of Nigeria, in a serene and rich natural environment which is apt for academic work. In view of its proximity to multinational oil exploration companies, FUTO has the special advantage of being able to draw from a pool of qualified professionals within and outside the University. Consequently, FUTO graduates are most sort after in the job market.

My vision as a Vice-Chancellor is to re-position FUTO to be a top-ranked first class institution of excellence in technology knowledge production and dissemination, through teaching, research and service to mankind. More details are in my Inaugural speech - Quest for Excellence.
