Biography

Dr Chidi Uzoma Igwe is a seasoned academic, researcher and teacher with a research interest in Clinical/Medical, Forensic and Molecular Biochemistry studies. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Biochemistry, Master’s degree in Clinical Chemistry and PhD in Medical Biochemistry from Abia State University, Uturu – Abia State, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma – Edo State and the Federal University of Technology, Owerri – Imo State respectively. He is a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist and, an Examiner for and a Fellow of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN). He has attended and presented papers in many local and international conferences and workshops and has anchored much continuing professional development (CPD) courses for clinical biochemists and medical laboratory scientists. He has published over 70 scholarly articles in national and international journals and has written many book chapters in mainstream University texts on General Biochemical Techniques and Clinical Biochemistry. A researcher and university lecturer with several years of experience. He has taught at Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, and Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State. He has successfully supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate theses. He is a Christian and Knight of Saint Mulumba (KSM) Nigeria. Dr Igwe is happily married with 3 lovely children.
