Biography

Dr. Nweke has been involved in teaching and research in the area of Analytical Microbiology with special reference to ecotoxicology. He has been working on the interactions of microorganisms with metals and organic compounds. Due to the complex nature of environmental pollution, Dr Nweke and his research team are redirecting their efforts to evaluating the toxicity of chemical mixtures to environmental microbial populations using a number of biological responses. Mathematical models are employed to predict chemical toxicity both as single chemical and mixtures.
