BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Young Christian Azuamah is a native of Ezeala Owerre Ehime Mbano L.G.A. of Imo State Nigeria. He attended FUTO staff primary school where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate with a Distinction and received the award for the best pupil by the then Headmaster. He attended Federal Government College Okigwe, Imo state where he obtained his Senior School Certificate. He proceeded to Imo state University where he obtained a Doctor of Optometry (O.D) degree in Optometry receiving several awards at his induction ceremony including Best Graduating Clinical Student, Best Graduating Student in Clinic Externship and Best Graduating Student in Contact Lens Practice. He then went on to obtain a Masters Degree in Environmental Health Science, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Health Science both at Abia state University Uturu. He also obtained another Masters Degree in Ocular Health at Federal University of Technology, Owerri. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Postgraduate College of Optometry, Faculty of Ocular Health after completing a four-year residency programme. Dr. Young is also a research affiliate of the Institute of Environmental Health and Environmental Justice, Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
