Biography

 

Okwudili Bismarck Ibeagwa, PhD was born in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, Liberia. He attended Faith Baptist Elementary school and United Methodist Elementary School in Buchanan, Liberia. High School was at Saint Peter Clavers’ Catholic High School Buchanan, Liberia and Merchants of Light School, Oba, Anambra State, Nigeria. He obtained the Bachelor of Agriculture (B. Agric) in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin Kwara State, Nigeria in 2003, the Master of Science (MSc) in Agricultural Economics (Agricultural Project Management) from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State Nigeria in 2012 and the Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) in Agricultural Economics (Agricultural Project Management) from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State Nigeria in 2019. He currently teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Federal University of Technology, Owerri Nigeria He has authored and co-authored several research articles including the Rate of Return on Investment in Cassava Processing in Kwara State, Nigeria; Effect of the Second National Fadama Project on the Income and Welfare of Farm Households in Imo State, Nigeria, Effect of Land Grabbing on Agricultural Growth and Food Security in Nigeria, Assessment of Risk Management Strategies Among Arable Crop Farmers in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, among others. He has also carried out Project consultancy including the Beneficiary Impact Assessment of the FG/IFAD Rice and Cassava Value Chain Development Project in Taraba State, Nigeria and Social Impact Assessment on the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project L-PRES in the Anambra State of Nigeria.

Okwudili Bismarck Ibeagwa, PhD is a member of several learned associations including the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists, Agriculture Society of Nigeria and the Farm Management Association of Nigeria. His next of Kin is Osita Brisbane Ibeagwa Who works in the Radiography Department, Jos University Teaching Hospital JUTH, Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
