FUTO Alumni Association
FUTO Alumni Association is the umbrella Association of all graduates of Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
The Association is organized around local Chapters situated in major cities in Nigeria, Europe and America. There are also non-chapter groups such as Graduating Year groups and Class groups.
Organs of the Alumni
The supreme body of the Alumni is the Convention which is made up of all registered members of the Association. Non- elective Conventions can hold every year while elective Conventions to elects the executives hold every 3 years.
Board of Trustees (BOT)
The Alumni has a 7 member Board of Trustee selected from distinguished and reputable members of the Alumni.
National Executive Council (NEC)
The National Executive Council is the Executive Management arm of the Alumni and is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Alumni Association. It is headed by the National President with other National Officers, Chapter Chairmen and Secretary as members.
The Council meets regularly to review and approve the activities of the Association.
The Alumni Association currently has the following Chapters in different cities in Nigeria.

Each Chapter is administered by a Chapter Chairman and Chapter executives.
(B.Sc, M.Tech., PhD.)
Prof. Kechinyere Bridget. Oyoh is a lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Owerri and a Professor of Chemical Engineering. She has been a university lecturer for the past 21 years. She attended the University of Timisoara and Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
She is a seasoned administrator, has been a Head of Department for several terms, a Dean of the Postgraduate School in FUTO), a member of the Governing Council, and currently the Director of the Office for University Development. She has served in several University Committees. Engr. Prof. Oyoh has published extensively in both local and international journals and holds two patents on designed fabricated works.
Bridget is an active member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers and has served as a member of the COREN Accreditation Visitation Team to several universities. She has attended so many conferences both locally and internationally where she presented quality research papers.
She has an amiable and pleasant personality and gets on very well with people. She is hardworking, creative and resourceful. Engr. Prof. K.B. Oyoh is a Christian and a member of many pious organizations. At her leisure, she likes dancing and playing handball.

Richard Chinedum Ihejirika has been an academic staff of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri for about twenty years. He attended the famous University of Ife, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and the University of Uyo, where he obtained B.A, M.A., and PhD respectively with specialization in English as a Second Language. He is of the Directorate of General Studies.
Dr Ihejirika has served as a Unit Head in the Directorate of General Studies, an Associate Dean of the Postgraduate School, and currently the Deputy Director, Office for University Development and the President of the Elite Asuu-Futo Cooperative Society. He has been a member of several University Committees. He has contributed immensely to scholarship through his quality publications in both local and international journals.
Dr Richard Chinedum Ihejirika is an epitome of diligence, integrity and honesty. He is a team player, amiable and ever ready to serve. He is a Christian and a Knight of St. Christopher. Reading and watching soccer are the basic things that interest him.
