Biography

Dr. Chikezie Comfort was born in Aba, Abia State of Nigeria on July 4, 1971. She obtained her Bachelor of Agriculture from the University of Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. Dr. Chikezie also holds a Master of Science (M.SC) and a Ph.D. from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri Imo State, Nigeria. She has research interests in Climate Change and resilience, Environmental Management, Development Economics as well as Food and Nutrition Security Planning and Evaluation. She currently teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Federal University of Technology, Owerri Nigeria. She has made outstanding impact in the world of research, having authored and co-authored various research articles which includes Indigenous Perspective and Green Economy: The Pathway to Sustainable Environment, Effect of Climate Change on Food Crop Production in South-East, Nigeria: A Co-Integration Model Approach, Vulnerability of Food Crop Farmers to Climate Change in South Eastern Nigeria Community-based adaptation measures among food crop farmers in South-East, Nigeria, Smart Agriculture and Rural Farmers Adaptation Measures to Climate Change in South-East Nigeria: Implications for Sustainable Food Security and lots more. Her next of kin is Arisa Daniel who is gainfully employed in Jotkan Printing Company as the eastern region coordinator. Chikezie is a member of several associations including Nigeria Association of Agricultural Economists (NAAE), Agricultural Society of Nigeria (ASN), and Organization of Women for Sustainable Development (OWSD) and the Farm Management Association of Nigeria.
