Biography

Born in Kafanchan, Kaduna state, Nigeria on 25th September 1959 to the late Mr. Ihekwobere Ogbonna Sylvester Anyanwu and the late Mrs. Nwomongu Sarah Ogbonna Anyanwu of Umuakali, Okwu, NguruUmunneator, Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo state. Attended St. John’s School, Okwu, and obtained the West African School Certificate from Amuzi Community Secondary, Amuzi. Has a B.Sc. Statistics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, M.Sc. Statistics and Ph.D. Statistics, all from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. Worked as a statistician at the Secondary Education Management Board (S.E.M.B.), Headquarters, Owerri from 1987 to 1998. Earlier taught as a mathematics teacher at Imo State Secondary School System. Was employed by the Federal University of Technology, Owerri as an assistant lecturer in 1998. Was promoted to senior lecturer in 2013. In 2016 became the Ag. Head of Department of Statistics till 2018. Presently serving as the Ag. Head of the Department of Statistics.
