Biography

Edward Omeire is a pragmatic rural sociologist and development expert with a passion for exploring the complexities of rural development, ethno-ecology, sustainability, land governance, gender, ICT4DEV, and inclusive health.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Omeire is also an amateur photographer, a graphic designer, and a blogger. Dr. Omeire is the founder of Mencentral.net, a unique blog that aims to initiate conversations around men’s issues and the burden of masculinity. His work has a positive impact on society.
As a dedicated and forward-thinking sociologist, Dr. Omeire is always open to new opportunities for collaboration, learning, and growth. He invites colleagues, digital nomads, and students with a passion for tech for development to connect with him and explore ways to collaborate on projects and initiatives that can help shape the future of rural areas and promote sustainability.
