Dr. Johnbosco Emeka Umunnakwe has B.Sc in Chemistry from University of Calabar in 1992 and Ph.D in Environmental Management from the Rivers State University. Johnbosco started his career as the pioneer Foundry Laboratory Engineer, GALBA-ETS(Italian) and spent 12 years in Safety and Environmental Departments of several industries before lecturing briefly in Rivers State College of Education. He is presently a Senior lecturer in the Department of Environmental Management, FUTO with over thirty-five publications in peer-reviewed local and international journals. He has held some positions as; Chairman of several Departmental/Faculty committees, SIWES Coordinator, board member, Institute of Environmental Justice and Health, Coordination of World Environment Day celebration in FUTO since 2017. He is the Health and Environmental Safeguards Officer, Center of Excellence in Sustainable Procurement Environmental and Social Standards, FUTO. Dr. He is a Registered Environmental Specialist with the National Registry of Environmental Practitioners USA, a licensed Public Analyst of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a Chartered Chemist, Chartered Institute of Wastes Management UK and belongs to over eleven professional bodies locally and internationally. He is a fellow of Nigerian Environmental Society (FNES) where he served as the National Vice President, current member of the THINK THANK and international collaborations of the society.
