Biography

I obtained my First School Leaving Certificate (Distinction) in 1973 from W.T.C. Primary School, Enugu. I obtained my West African School Certificate (Grade 1) at Mbaise Secondary School, Aboh-Mbaise in 1979. I studied at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and obtained my B. Engr. degree in Civil Engineering and M. Engr. degree in Structural Engineering, in the years 1985 and 1990, respectively. I obtained my Ph.D in Structural Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, in the year 2018.

Academic Qualification

B. Engr. (UNN) in Civil Engineering; M. Engr. (UNN) in Structural Engineering; Ph.D (FUTO) in Structural Engineering.

Courses Assigned to Teach

 

I worked as a Lecturer 1 in Civil Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT MX), from the year 2003 to 2005.

 I started work at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) in 2005, and I am now a Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering.

 

I am also a lecturer/facilitator in Procurement Management at the World Bank / National Universities Commission assisted Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards (CE-sPESS) in FUTO.

 

I was Assistant Civil/Project Engineer of MARTRIC West Africa Limited, Orji, Owerri, in 1988, and Design/Project Engineer of OSAC Engineering Limited, Egbu, Owerri, in 1989.

 

 I worked in the Works Department of Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri, and rose to the rank of Senior Civil Engineer in 1999.

 

I worked for Bouygues Nigeria Limited, Abuja (and its sister company, Dragage Engineering and Construction Limited, Abuja) and rose to the rank of Head, Quality Assurance in 2003.
