Courtney University Australia and Offshore Technology Institute Seek Partnership with FUTO

Offshore Technology Institute of Nigeria has expressed its willingness to join hands with the present administration to take the Federal University of Technology, Owerri to the next level of development.

President of the Institute and Managing Director Global Maritime West Africa Limited Dr Ross-David Agazuma declared this when he came to discuss the Partnership between FUTO and Offshore Technology Institute of Nigeria on Wednesday 6th February 2019.

Dr Agazuma disclosed that the Institute, having signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Federal University of Technology, Owerri chose to collaborate with Courtney University in Australia where degrees would be awarded and affiliation fees paid to FUTO. He further said that Subsea Engineering would also be introduced as a combined degree awarded from Courtney and FUTO, which would serve as a sort of integration.

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Francis C. Eze, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Prof. Ndukwe J. Okeudo stressed that the existing Memorandum of Understanding will strengthen the partnership between Offshore Technology Institute of Nigeria and FUTO.

He thanked the Management of the Institute for the preliminary stages and expressed the hope that the Federal University of Technology, Owerri would be able to achieve the set goals through the partnership.

Principal Officers and others who were present at the courtesy visit were the  Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Prof. J.S. Orebiyi, the Registrar Mr John U. Nnabuihe as well as the Directors of Academic Planning Unit and that of Linkages and Advancement, Prof. I.S. Iwueze and Prof. I.N.S. Dozie.
