Man ‘O’ War FUTO Command Inaugurates New Members

The 7th Substantive Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri Prof. Francis Chukwuemeka Eze has assured of Management’s support to the Man ‘O’ War FUTO Command. He gave the assurance during the inauguration of the new Man ‘O’ War tagged “Reformed Man ‘O’ War” on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.

Prof. Eze described the Man ‘O’ War as an organization made up of a group of young people admitted into the University to study and in the process developed the passion of protecting fellow students. He was satisfied with the knowledge gained by the students during their training sessions and advised them to shun cultism and brutalization of their fellow students as anyone caught would be dealt with appropriately.

Earlier in his speech the Commander in Chief of the Command, Patriot Okere Patterson said the reformed Man ‘O’ War promises to be student-friendly, assuring the Vice-Chancellor and the Management that they would help in curbing insecurity on campus and also strive to uphold the high standard which Man ‘O’ War represents.

The Principal Officers who graced the occasion were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Prof. N.J. Okeudo, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Prof. J.S. Orebiyi, Registrar, Mr J.U. Nnabuihe, University Librarian, Dr Mrs Chinwe V. Anunobi. Also present were representative of the Bursar, Mr D.O. Amatobi, the Imo State Commander of the Man ‘O’ War Dr. (Mrs) Camelia Adizua and the Dean Student Affairs Unit Prof. J.I. Alinor.
