Biography

Mr Henry Uzoma Anuforo is a Lecturer II at the Department of Biology, Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Imo State, Nigeria. Presently, he is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) student at the Department of Biotechnology, Federal University of Technology, Owerri. He obtained a B.Tech (Hons) degree in Biotechnology, in 2008, as well as M.Sc degree in Biotechnology, in 2016, at the same University. He was among the pioneer Bachelor of Technology degree graduates of the Department of Biotechnology, FUTO. He had earlier attended Baptist High School, Umuohie Ngor and Umuaro Central School, Nguru, both in Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area, Imo State, Nigeria, where he obtained the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in 2001, and First School Living Certificate (FSLC) in 1995 respectively. He joined the services of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria, in 2011 as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Biology.

His research interest is in renewable energy; environmental pollution monitoring, control/mitigation and green nanotechnology. He is a member of the Foundation for African Development through International Biotechnology (FADIB) and has many publications in several reputable international journals. Mr Henry is happily married, with a very handsome son.
