Biography

Umelo-Ibemere is a lecturer in the Department of Statistics, Federal University of Technology Owerri. She is fully involved in teaching, supervising and coordinating undergraduate projects. She has also participated in coordinating the Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) in the Department. She attended Obazu Community School, Mbieri and Dora Chinyere Nwankiti Juniorate, Inyishi where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) and Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) respectively. She also holds B.Sc. Computer Science / Statistics and M.Sc. Statistics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Umelo-Ibemere is a member of the Nigerian Statistical Association. She has research articles in Response Surface Designs and currently carrying out her doctoral research on “Optimal designs for multiresponse models”.
