Biography

Baldwin C. Asiegbu is a Professor of Economics and Information Management Technology at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Imo State, Nigeria, where he specializes in Economic Cybernetics with a recent research interest in Social Dimensions of Machine Learning Models (Artificial Intelligence). He holds B.Sc Economics with a specialism in Mathematical Economics with Computer Science,  M.Sc and PhD Economics with a specialism in Economic Cybernetics from Kharkiv State University,  Ukraine.

He has served as a consultant on studies sponsored by UNDP and World Bank for Imo State and Abia State, Nigeria on issues of empowerment and Development Strategies,  Social Capital formation and Adoption Rate of Technologies in FADAMA projects and other public and private organizations. He has served as Head of Department,  Information Management Technology, FUTO, Deputy Director Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies, FUTO and Deputy Director  (Academic) FUTO Extension Services. He is currently the Associate Dean, School of Management Technology, Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
