Biography

A highly motivated and versatile professional with vast experience in plant breeding, genetics and research on quality assessments and genetic improvement of field and vegetable crops especially rice, cowpea, bambara ground nut, soybean, cucumber, water melon and okra.

Passionate researcher and lecturer with over 20 years’ experience in academics and research. Experienced in teaching students both at undergraduate and post graduate levels across four different tertiary institutions. Author of over 40 research papers published in peer reviewed local and international journals. Currently an Associate Professor and the Head of Department of Crop Science and Technology at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. I am a lady of the Knight of St Christopher of the Owerri Diocese of the Anglican Communion chapter,  the Staff Adviser of the Scripture Union Campus Fellowship (SUCF), FUTO and the Zonal family life Coordinator of the Scripture Union, Nigeria, Owerri East Zone. 

Skilled at building effective and productive relationships with students and colleagues alike.

Demonstrated ability to work through a problem effectively, and provide the best solution. Works well independently and collaboratively. Widely recognized by students, peers and superiors for work diligence. Current research involves the evaluation and utilization of some endangered African species and their suitability for production of infant formula. I am aspiring for advancement, increasing my professional capabilities and bringing out the best in every team I work with.
