Biography

Prof. (Mrs.) U.F. Eze, MNCS, MCPN, MISO, MNITAD, MNIWIIT, MOWSD, MCWO, MSM. Prof. (Mrs.) U.F Eze, a Professor in the Department of Information Technology (I.T.), Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria, obtained her B.Sc. degree in Computer Science in 1996, M.Sc. (Computer Science) in 2001 and Ph.D. (Computer Science) in 2008 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Prof. (Mrs.) U.F. Eze has acquired several years of experience in teaching and research in various institutions of higher learning in Nigeria. Her research interests are in the areas of Database Systems, Management Information Systems, Data Mining, Gender and Child Development and Blockchain. Prof. (Mrs.) U.F. Eze was the Acting Head of department of Information Management Technology (IMT) and Acting Director of University Computer Center (UCC), Federal University of Technology, Owerri. Currently, she is the Dean of School of Information and communication Technology, Federal University of Technology, Owerri. She has served as the chairman of NUC Accreditation Panel for some universities in Nigeria. She has also served as external examiner for different universities. She has equally served as a Leader and Coordinator in various academic and religious institutions. She has authored and coauthored two textbooks plus one textbook under production. She has also served as a guest Speaker, Lecturer and Presenter in hybrid global webinar series, conferences and workshops. She has also published in several international and national journals. She has bagged several awards from academic and religious backgrounds which include but a few. First, Award of Honor as “STAR MOTHER” by St Michaels Catholic Women Organization in recognition of commitment to the work of God, Humanity and the Church (2012). Secondly, Merit Award as the “MOTHER OF THE DEPARTMENT”,Information Management Technology (IMT) Department, 2013. Thirdly, Award of Honor of “WOMAN OF DISTINCTION” by St Michaels Catholic Men Organization in recognition of distinctive qualities as a mother and contribution to the Church and Humanity (2015). Fourth, “AWARD OF EXCELLENCE” by National Association of Information Technology Students in recognition of sterling contribution to the growth of the Information Management Technology (IMT) Department, FUTO (2015).  Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Imo State chapter gave her an award of honor in 2023. Prof. (Mrs.) U.F. Eze is happily married to an amiable husband, Engr. Eze Vigor Ikechukwu and loving children: Vivian Chinonye, VincentVigor Chidiebere and Vitalis Ikechukwu Eze.
