Dr Gordon Ononiwu, is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), Owerri, Nigeria. He was previously a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, FUTO, before he was redeployed to the newly established Department of Mechatronics Engineering. He is a B.Eng graduate of FUTO (1998), an MSc graduate of Halmstad University, Sweden (2007), and a PhD graduate of FUTO (2014). He is a fellow of the Svenska Institute (SI) (2009), a member of the SI group of future global leaders (2009 to date), an Educate-The-Teacher Fellow of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT-ETT Fellow), a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), a registered Engineer (COREN). He was previously the Vice – Chairman of NSE, Owerri branch (2016 – 2017), and is currently the Chairman of NSE, Okigwe branch (2017 – Date).
