Kenneth NkemdilimOkeke, Pioneer staff and Lecturer, Department of Dental Technology, Federal University of Technology, Owerri. A holder of Master degree in Dental Technology obtained from Durban University of Technology, Durban, South Africa; Master degree in Public Policy and Administration (MPPA), and Master of Banking and Finance (MBF) obtained from Bayero University, Kano. He has held several academic positions in the department including Staff Adviser to the students’ body, National Association of Dental Technology Students (2005-2014); Academic Adviser to several classes; SIWES Officer; Examination Officer, and has coordinated the laboratories in the department from the inception of the department. Has authored several articles in referred local and international journals as well as addressed various conferences locally, nationally and internationally.A team player who has been teaching undergraduate courses in dental technology with research interest focusing on prosthodontics and dental materials science. This interest has propelled him to enter into various collaboration with academics in the Departments of Material and Metallurgical Engineering, Polymer and Textile Engineering, and Industrial Chemistry.

Prior to joining FUTO, he held various appointments including Research Officer, Dental Technologists Registration Board of Nigeria (2003-2005); Dental Technologist and Head of the dental laboratory, Harmony Dental and Maxillo-facial Surgery (1998-2003), and Crown Dental Clinic, both in Kano (1996-2003). Recipient of various awards from within the academic environment and other groups including National Association of Dental Technology Students, FUTO and FSDT&T Enugu Chapters; National Association of Health Sciences and Technology Students, FUTO; Association of Dental Technologists of Nigeria, Abia State Chapter among others.

In the leadership of the profession of Dental Technology, he was the Interim Secretary,  Association of Dental Technologists of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter(2004-2005);National 1ST Vice President, Association of Dental Technologists of Nigeria(2008-2010);National President, Association of Dental Technologists of Nigeria (2010-2015);Chairman Education Committee and Member Governing Board of Dental Technologists Registration Board of Nigeria (DTRBN) (2013-2015).

A Catholic faithful where he held various positions including Assistant Secretary Church Council, St. Jude Catholic Church, Bukavu Barracks Kano (1999-2000); Secretary, Society of St. Vincent de Paul,St. Jude Catholic Church, Bukavu Barracks Kano (1995-2000); Assistant Secretary, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Kano Central (Diocese) Council (1998-2000); Secretary, Chaplaincy Council, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Chaplaincy, FUTO (2009-2014). He is happily married with lovely children.
