PROFILE

Dr Chikere I. C. Ebirim is a lecturer, research consultant and data analyst in the Department of Public Health, Federal University of Technology Owerri. He hails from Umuezealaihu Umunakanu-Owerre in Ehime Mbano L.G.A., Imo State. He obtained his Bachelors of Science degree (B.Sc Anatomy) from University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He holds a Masters Degree in Public Health (M.Sc Epidemiology & Medical Statistics) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD in Epidemiology and Disease Control) from Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria.

He is a registered member of various national and international professional bodies such as International Epidemiological Association (IEA), Epidemiological Society of Nigeria (EPISON), African Epidemiological Association (AEA), Early Carrier Epidemiologist(ECE) and Parasitology & Public Health Society of Nigeria (PPSN) to mention but a few. He has in-depth knowledge and experience in public health research techniques, Consultant in epidemiological surveys & community trials program, Monitoring and evaluation expertise in health programs, Clinical trials and survival analytical techniques, a systematic review and meta analysis.

He teaches Biostatistics, Research Methods & Techniques, Fundamental of Epidemiology, Analytic Epidemiological Methods, Epidemiology of Communicable & Non-communicable Diseases, Vital & Health Statistics, Statistics for Health Care Profession, Introduction to Public Health, Medical Demography & Social Statistics in Public Health, Health Information Management System and Technology Evaluation Techniques etc.

He is well versatile in Public health and epidemiological statistical packages like Epi-Info, SPSS, STATA, SAS, PASS NCSS, E-views e.t.c.
