Dr. I. O. Njoku received a B.Tech degree in Geology from the Federal University of Technology Owerri in 2003, followed by a master’s degree in Petroleum Geology from the University of Port Harcourt in 2009. After a postgraduate research at Getamme Geochem Nigeria Limited at the M.Sc level, he joined the company as a graduate assistant geologist. He proceeded for a PhD degree programme in geophysics in Federal University of Technology Owerri in January 2010 prior to joining Shell Petroleum and Development Company Port Harcourt in October 2010 as a research intern. He joined Strata search Limited in March 2012 as the Structural Lead and has interpreted and supervised several work in Nigeria Agip Oil Company. He later became the Operations Manager in Strata search Limited. He had led the structural / Seismic team in the University of Port Harcourt at Chevron – University Research Development. He is also a Senior Geophysicist and Geomodeler (consultant) in C.P.M. Halliburton and Conoil via Substrata Group. He is a member of Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists, American Association of Petroleum Geologists and Society of Exploration Geophysicists. His current interests include fault geometry, strati-structural implications and the sealing behavior of faults. He is presently a Lecturer 2 in Geology Department, Federal University of Technology Owerri.
