Barbara Oyinatumba hails from Oboama in Ezinnihitte Mbaise and married to Barr. Ogemdi Ukoha of Umukwerede in Ezinnihitte Mbaise and the marriage is blessed with two lovely daughters. She earned her NCE from Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri and B.Ed from University of Nigeria, Nsukka (AIFCE campus).
