The Female Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Internship Programme under the Energizing Education Programme (EEP) Phase III has successfully selected 20 students following a rigorous screening process.
The selection process took place within the premises of the participating university, where 50 nominated students were evaluated. After careful assessment, 20 students were chosen to participate in the internship programme.
Following their selection, the induction and training sessions for the selected students have commenced immediately. The programme aims to empower young women in STEM fields by providing hands-on experience and industry-relevant training.
Stakeholders have been encouraged to support the students in actively engaging in the programme and ensuring full participation in all training sessions.
The Energizing Education Programme (EEP) is a key initiative under the Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP-AFDB), aimed at bridging the gender gap in STEM and promoting sustainable energy education.
