FUTO Class of 1992 (FC'92 Club) has donated clinical equipment and medical supplies to the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) to support healthcare delivery for students and staff through the University's Health Services.

The alumni group made the donation on Friday, August 28, 2026, when members of the Club visited the University as part of activities marking their 2026 reunion.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Club, its President, Engr. Kingsley Kabiri, said the donation was an expression of gratitude to the University for the education and values that shaped members of the Class of 1992.

“FUTO gave us more than a degree. She gave us character, discipline, knowledge and lifelong friendships and today, we have come back not to take but to give back”, Engr. Kabiri stated.

Engr. Kabiri said the Club chose to support the University's healthcare services because of the importance of the health and well-being of students and staff. He called on other alumni to maintain their connection with the institution.

“No contribution is too small. When we unite in purpose, we can continue to make meaningful contributions that will positively transform our alma mater,” he said.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. I.N.S. Dozie commended the group for remembering their alma mater and returning to contribute to its development.

Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Development and Innovation), Prof. E. B. Etuk, the Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation for the donation, noting that alumni engagement holds a significant promise for the University’s growth and development.

He called on members of the Club to sustain their support to the University, urging them to extend their impact to younger students and graduates through mentorship.
