In line with his commitment to providing a conducive living and learning environment for students, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), Prof. I.N.S. Dozie, undertook a comprehensive inspection tour of the University’s hostels.

During the tour, the Vice-Chancellor personally examined the state of students’ rooms, sanitary facilities, reading rooms, water supply, electricity, drainage systems, waste management, security arrangements, and the general cleanliness of the hostel environment.

The physical inspection, according to the Vice-Chancellor, was aimed at obtaining first-hand information on the condition of the facilities and identifying areas requiring immediate attention. He also interacted with students, who expressed appreciation for the University’s efforts while highlighting challenges affecting their comfort and wellbeing.

Prof. Dozie assured the students that University Management remains fully committed to addressing the identified issues to enhance the quality of hostel accommodation and improve students’ overall welfare.

Students’ welfare remains a top priority of this administration. A conducive residential environment is essential for effective learning, personal development, and academic excellence,” the Vice-Chancellor stated.

The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by the Registrar, Mr. Chiedozie Uba; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. E.C.
