FUTO Student and Lecturer emerged First and Third Respectively August 26, 2021 in South Korea

August 26, 2021, witnessed another fruit of excellence as a recent graduate of the Department of Information Technology department, Miss Goodness Oluchi Anyanwu, and her lecturer Engr. Cosmas Ifeanyi Nwakanma emerged First and Third Position in best Research Article Award at the 2021 Workshop on Networked Systems held at the Kumoh National Institute of Technology, Gumi, South Korea.

Recall that Goodness graduated with a C.G.P.A. of 4.37 in 2018 and now a Masters Degree student at the department of IT-Convergence Engineering, Kumoh National Institute of Technology, South Korea.

On the other hand, Engr. Cosmas is a graduate of the department of EEE (2004), IT(2012) and has been a lecturer since 2009.  He is a PhD Student in the same IT-Convergence Engineering, Kumoh National Institute of Technology, Gumi, Korea.

The workshop which was hosted in South Korea is aimed at encouraging research works in networked systems.  The 2021 edition witnessed 24 papers presented for competition with participants from countries such as Philippine, Indonesia, Korea, Somali, Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Syria.

It is interesting to note that both Goodness and Cosmas are co-authors in both papers that won the First and Second awards.

The Next edition is slated for August 2022 in the same South Korea.
