The FUTO Transcript Processing System (FUTO-TPS) is an online system which allows a seamless fulfillment of academic transcript requests with minimal efforts. Through the system, FUTO Alumni can now request for their academic transcripts from any part of the world without having to visit FUTO physically. Also, institutions receiving academic transcripts can verify the authenticity of the transcripts online via the FUTO TPS.

How to request transcripts:

  • Log on to the FUTO-TPS platform;
  • As a new user, you must register, click on Registration and enter your First Name, Last Name, valid email address and phone number. You must also enter the captcha information provided for you in the appropriate box. Click on Register and your login details would be sent immediately to the email address you have provided.
  • Retrieve your login details from your email and activate your account by clicking on the activation link which would be provided below your login details.
  • Login to the TPS with your login details and fill the transcript request form. Make sure to provide the required details carefully and correctly. You can make multiple transcript requests at a go, you will however be charged on a per transcript basis.
  • After filling the form, review your entries carefully, and proceed to the Payment section.
  • Make your payment by carefully following the payment instructions to complete your request.
  • You will be notified when your request has been fulfilled. You may also check back on TPS to follow status of your request.

Payments:

Successful academic transcript requests cannot be cancelled, thus payments cannot be refunded/reversed.

Delivery:
  • Successful academic transcript requests will be delivered to the address specified by applicants while making requests. Applicants are solely responsible and liable for any errors in the specified delivery address and will have to place a new request for the appropriate address/destination.
  • Standard shipping ETAs (estimated time of arrival) are as stated by courier used to dispatch transcripts.
Privacy:

At FUTO, we are concerned about your personal information because we know that such is very important to you and we would appreciate your trust that any information received from you would be used with the highest level of responsibility and care. This notice explains our privacy policy.

  • What information do we receive from you?

    When you visit our site and place an apply, we receive some information from you which may include your full name, University registration number, telephone number, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card details and others. You may however, visit our website anonymously.

  • What do we use your information for?

    Any of the information you supply to us may be used for the following functions:

    1. For processing the required transactions.

      We will NOT sell, exchange, transfer, share or give your information to any other organization or body for any reason whatsoever, without your express permission, other than for the actual purpose of delivering to you, the service or product you have requested of us.

    2. For notification

      The phone number and e-mail address you supply will only be used to provide you with status updates relating to every step taken towards the fulfillment of your request.

  • How is your information protected?

    We work to protect your information during any transaction by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which ensures that all the information you supply are encrypted into the database of our payment gateways, only to be accessed by authorized persons, who have the responsibility of keeping such information confidential.

    Also, our servers will NOT store your personal information (credit/debit cards, financial records, social security ID, etc) at the end of any transaction.

  • Do we use cookies?

    Yes, we do. Cookies are unique identifiers that a site transfers to your device through your web browser to enable the site recognize your device, capture and remember certain information. Cookies will help us understand and save your preferences for future visits.

  • What about third parties?

    We are not in the business of selling information and as such will NOTsell, transfer or trade your personal information to third parties. However, trusted third parties, who at different times assist in our operations of providing quality service to you are made to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements to keep your personal information confidential. We may release your information only if we believe that doing so is in compliance with the law.

  • Do we allow children?

    No. We are in strict compliance of the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not collect information from anyone under the age of 13 years. Our products and services are for people who are at least, 13 years old or above.

  • Changes/Revisions to our policy

    Should we decide to change or revise our privacy policy, we may notify you but you should frequently check our site to see recent changes or revisions.

  • Who can make requests on FUTO-TPS?

    The FUTO-TPS service is available for Alumni who attended Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria for their FIRST DEGREES only. This service is NOT applicable for Alumni with POSTGRADUATE DEGREES.

    NOTE: Postgraduate Alumni should please send their transcript application to the School of Post Graduate Studies Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria

  • How can I request for my academic transcript?

  • How do I make payment for my transcript order?

    You will be required to make payment at the time of order with either an Interswitch MasterCard or Verve card (Naira). Payment in US Dollar and other payment platform will be available shortly.

  • Is it safe to enter my credit card information on this Web site?

    Yes. FUTO-TPS utilizes the most current security techniques to keep your personal information and identity secure.

  • Can I pay for my transcript application at the bank?

    No. You can only make your payment online by using any Interswitch verve card, MasterCard (Naira) or MasterCard (International)

  • Can I place an order without going through the online system?

    No. You can only apply for your academic transcript on FUTO-TPS.

  • The link in the activation email is not active.

    If the link in the activation mail sent your mailbox is not active, kindly copy it and paste in the address tab of your browser to activate your account.

  • How do I know if my transcript request has been fulfilled?

    You will get a notification via email indicating that your transcript request has been processed, completed and mailed. Also, the tracking number of the courier company would be included in the notification for you to follow the mailing status of your transcript on the courier company’s website. You may also log on to your account on tps.futo.edu.ng to know status of your request.

  • How do I view my transcript request status?

    After you have successfully initiated and concluded a transcript request by paying for it through any of the online payment options available (login details must have been activated during the process of requesting your transcript), log on to your application page,tps.futo.edu.ng enter necessary information and click ‘’Search’’ to view the status of your transcript request

  • The website doesn’t seem to be working. I cannot go to the next page.

    If you are receiving an error message when you are inside the website, go back and start from the home page again. If you are having problems moving between pages within the online application, please understand that you can’t skip a step once you have begun the process. Sometimes the computer system may stall because of internet related issues. As long as you have a user name and password, you can go back and continue with the application process.

  • I need a form attached to my official transcript. Can I still place an order online?

    Yes. You may place your order online for paper transcripts only; not electronic transcripts. Write an instruction and attach the form to be enclosed with your transcript to tps.futo.edu.ng . Failure to do this may result in your transcript being sent without the required form.

  • Can I request for multiple transcripts at once?

    Yes you can. The FUTO-TPS allows multiple entries but you will be charged per transcript request.

  • Can I have someone pick up the student copy of my transcript on my behalf?

    Yes. You may give permission to have a friend or family member pick up the student copy of your transcript by submitting a signed letter to the Records and Statistics Unit that states the full name of the person picking up the transcript.

  • I changed my name after I graduated. Can I apply for my transcript using my marital name?

    NO. You are advised to apply for your transcript with the name used to process your admission. Providing a name that is different from what is currently on your file will greatly delay the processing of your transcript. If you realize that you made such an error in the past, use the support email on our contact us page to send us your correct full names.

  • Addressing Your Transcript Application Properly

    On the Transcript Request page, you are expected to fill in the address you would want your transcript shipped to. Please, do not to use P.O. BOX addresses as couriers do not deliver packages to Post Office Boxes. The couriers will only deliver to stated addresses on the transcript. If there is a mismatch or invalid transcript address, the transcript will be returned to Records department and you will be expected to make a new request. So to avoid incurring extra charges and unnecessary delays, ensure that the address you have provided is absolutely correct. Also, ensure you specify the individual to whom the transcript is to be delivered.

  • If I have further questions, who should I contact?
