Biography

Prof. Stanley I. Onwukwe is a Professor of Petroleum Engineering with over twenty (20)years of cumulative experience in teaching and research in the Department of Petroleum Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO). He is also an alumnus of the prestigious Federal University of Technology, Owerri, where he obtained his BEng, MEng, and PhD degrees; all in Petroleum Engineering.

He has held many administrative positions, which include: Ag. Head, Department of Petroleum Engineering(2016-2018); Associate Dean, School of Engineering and Engineering Technology (2019-2020); and presently, Head, Department of Material and Metallurgical Engineering(2021-present).

Prof. Onwukwe is a dynamic and resourceful scholar and a leading specialist in the areas of Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Production, Gas Processing, and Petroleum Economics. He has published over fifty(50) technical and conference papers in local and international journals.

Prof. Onwukwe is a COREN registered Engineer; Fellow, Nigeria Institution of Petroleum Engineers (FNIPetE); Member, Society of Petroleum Engineers (MSPE), Member, Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE).
