He was born on 28th April, a native of Edeobom 1, Nsit Ibom, Akwa Ibom State.  He joined FUTO in 2009 as Lecturer 1, and grew in rank and was promoted to Professor with effect from 2018. He has served in various Committees and was Academic Adviser also. He has attended many International and national conferences where he delivered quality scientific papers. He has published many scientific papers in reputable Journals. His current researches are in Environmental physiology and also worked in Reproductive physiology. Professor I. F. Etuk is the current Head, Department of Animal Science and Technology. He is married to Mrs Precious Idorenyin Friday, and are blessed with many children.
